A police case has been registered in connection with an incident in which a dead cow was brought to the slaughterhouse under Kayamkulam Municipality for the purpose of processing it as meat. The municipal authorities initiated the necessary inspections and follow-up action in connection with the incident.

Based on information that a dead cow had been brought in a vehicle with an attempt to process it as meat, an inspection was conducted by the municipal authorities and the Health Department. Subsequently, the matter was reported to the police, and a case was registered against those involved.

The concerned authorities stated that such illegal activities will not be permitted within the municipal limits and that necessary measures will be taken to ensure public health, hygiene, and food safety.
